G Plan 1950’s Cocktail Coffee Table

This G Plan Brandon Coffee table was known as a cocktail table. Designed by Victor Bramwells Wilkins in the 1950’s the toughened glass top (new) was used to place your cocktails before a meal.
The classic design was made in either dark wood or, as with this example, light oak. There are no G Plan markings visible but the style and design are undeniable. All other examples you will find have a finger pull handle on the draw. This one has a single knob which I cannot explain but it has been suggested that this is an early prototype.
All the lines and angles on this table are just mid century perfect.
