A 19th century Victorian Copper “Haystack” measuring jug, also known as a harvest flagon or harvest jug. This is a rare 3 gallon example used in England as an official liquid volume measure for cider, ale or milk. The VR verification stamp is still prominent on the inside of the flared rim. A wonderful and stunning piece of interior decoration.
