Antique 3 Piece Brain Model
This is a life size (for most) model of the human brain, which comes apart into three different pieces. It’s held together by metal rods and is made of plaster.
In the early 20th century it would have been used for teaching medical or school students about the intricacies of the human anatomy. With the cross section inside showing more detail and having tiny numbers and marks relating to the different areas of the brain.
The odd small chip and possibly a piece or two missing from the underside do not distract from this truly fascinating display object.
