This is a stunning antique depiction of The Ascension of Christ reverse tinted on to glass and framed in a lovely rosewood frame with metal edging.
The colours and detail are beautiful. At the bottom are the words, THE ASCENSION Luke XXIV 50-52.
Believed to be painted in the late 18th to early 19th century there are a few small blemishes as you might expect of a piece this old.
It measures 41cm x 31cm
