Antique Wooden Voting Box

A most unusual but beautiful antique voting or suggestion box. The lock (marked Secure Lever, V R) is in perfect working order and the wood is full of age and character. It looks likely that it would have been originally painted brown and no marks or dents to the bottom would suggest that it wasn’t used to collect coins or money.
The square funneled top piece just makes this a little more interesting and decorative. Nicely made with dovetail joints it measures H 22cm x W 32cm x D 21.5cm.
