Copper and Brass Floor Lamp 1940s/50s
A quite unique floor standing lamp. It dates from the 1940’s or 50’s and stands 127cm tall to the top of the bayonet fitting, and has no makers mark that I can find. Although the quality of the construction would suggest that it was made professionally or by a very accomplished craftsman. Even down to the beautiful solid oak base. (30cm diameter). The bulb holder and bottom fitting are made of brass, while the mail length of pole is copper.
It has recently been rewired by a qualified electrician with an in keeping twisted cord. I have left the choice of shade to its new owner. A copper effect or maybe a traditional vintage shade will really finish this off nicely, and help to finish off any period home.
