A wonderfully weighty early 19th century copper measuring jug known as a “haystack” jug. The classic bulbus shape has a 2 GALLON label to the front and a verification stamp to the flared rim, sadly indistinguishable. Signs of wear and tear as you might expect commensurate with age but in overall remarkable condition.
