Early Brass Desk Lamp

An early 20th century articulated brass desk or reading lamp. The base is heavily weighted with cast iron and holds a simple and strong adjuster which easily articulates the brass arm, leading to the original tortoise shell Bakelite fitting. The wiring is also all original, so it is recommended that a qualified electrician, as with all electrical goods, check it out before use.

The lamp when fully upright stands 45cm tall which includes the classic metal clam shell shade. The shade has been painted or sprayed a gold colour at some point which works well with the original brass but could easily be taken back to the silver colour.

Signs of wear commensurate with age but in good working order.
