Linotype Printers Cabinet

These rather quirky cabinets are hard to come by and especially wooden ones such as this. A great deal of skillful carpentry goes into making this specialist piece of useful furniture.
The eight slanted drawers would have contained the printers blocks of various typefaces and styles while the single bottom drawer is handy for any other equipment and tools. The word Joyce is on both sides of the cabinet which is most likely the printers name rather than the manufacturer.

This is a well constructed and heavy piece of furniture which measures H69.5cm x W50.5cm x D52cm.
There are signs of wear and several little scuffs and dents as you would expect of a piece of furniture in a busy printers workshop since the the 1940/50s or earlier.
