A beautiful example of taxidermy by the renowned award-winning Jack Fishwick. This is an early piece from one of the best taxidermists in the world. Incredible accuracy and character show this very rare erythristic badger bearing his or her teeth.
The lovely brown stripes come from a lack of black pigment and are of course much rarer than the black and white badger.
Mounted on a solid oak shield with signs of wear commensurate with age but in overall good condition and dating from around 1980. A label on the back is perfect provenance.
