Citipati is a Hindu deity and masks/skull carvings are used in skeleton dances and other sacred rituals to recognise the eternal cycle of life and death. These exquisite examples date from around 1910 and to find a set of three is exceptionally rare.
The largest skull is 20cm long x 14cm high and the smallest, 18cm long x 12cm high when sat on a flat surface. They could easily, each be mounted on a metal or wooden base to really make them an outstanding artwork centre piece.
The wonderful hand painted colours remain vibrant with some rubbing and marks commensurate with age but overall they remain in good condition.
While they are being sold as a set of Three, they could be sold separately. Please enquire for individual prices.
